Northup LLC (in formation; the “operator”) handles personal information for Paperstyle (the “app”) and this website (together, the “service”) as follows, in line with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan and other applicable law.
- The app collects no data about you and makes no network connections.
- This website does not collect browsing records for the operator. It uses no analytics cookies and no advertising.
- If you email us, we keep that message only so we can reply.
- We do not sell personal information or share it without your consent.

02Scope
This policy covers use of the app, visits to this website, and email you send us.
03Information we collect
The operator collects only the following.

The app does not read what is on your screen, and it does not ask for Screen Recording or Accessibility permission. The ⌃⇧P shortcut registers that one key combination with macOS. It does not monitor your keystrokes.
04Purposes
Email we receive is used only to:
- reply to you
- look into and fix a problem with the app
Any other use requires your consent first.
05Sharing
We do not provide personal information to a third party without your consent, except where the law allows it, including when a statute requires it, when it is needed to protect life, health, or property and consent is hard to obtain, or when cooperating with a public authority would be hindered by asking for consent.
We do not sell personal information.
Paperstyle is distributed on the Mac App Store. Apple may give the operator aggregate figures such as download counts, and, if you have chosen to share analytics with developers, aggregated crash statistics. Those come from Apple, not from the app, and they cannot identify you. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
06Other services
The app contains no third-party SDKs. There is no analytics, no crash reporting, and no advertising. It contains no networking code.
This website is served by Cloudflare, Inc. Delivery may cause that company to record access logs (such as IP address, browser, and time) on its servers. Cloudflare is a US company, and processing may happen outside Japan. The operator does not receive those logs and does not use them for analytics.
Type on this website uses fonts already on your device. We do not load a web-font service.
07Cookies
This website does not use cookies for analytics or advertising.
If we add such a tool later, this policy will name it, what it collects, why, and how to turn it off, before it is switched on.
08What stays on your Mac
The app stores three settings, and nothing else:
- whether it is on or off
- which surface is selected (Clear, Warm, or Quiet)
- the intensity (0–100)
These stay in the app’s sandbox through the standard macOS preferences mechanism (UserDefaults). They never leave your Mac, and they are removed when you delete Paperstyle.
Open at Login registers Paperstyle as a macOS login item. The only thing recorded is that this app should start when you log in. You can turn it off from the menu. It starts out off.
09Access and deletion
Because the app collects nothing, there is no held personal data to disclose, correct, or delete. The three settings on your Mac disappear when you delete the app.
For email you have sent us, you may ask for notice of purpose, disclosure, correction, suspension, or erasure. We will confirm it is you and respond as the law requires. Write to the contact below.
10Changes
We may update this policy when the law or the service changes. The page and the date at the top will be updated when we do.
